How To Fix ONN Android TV no Sound

There are several reasons why the sound on your ONN Android TV is not working.

But the most common reason is a temporary system glitch.

So the first step would be,

Disconnect the TV from the power outlet and all HDMI-connected devices. Wait for 5 minutes. During this time, press and hold the TV’s power button for about 30 seconds. Once done, power the TV back on.

If this doesn’t work, try the following steps:

  1. Toggle HDMI CEC: Go to Settings > Device Preferences > HDMI CEC, and turn CEC off and then on again.
  2. Change Audio Format: Turn off Dolby Digital and switch the audio format to PCM (stereo) from the sound-out settings.
  3. Check HDMI Cables: Ensure that the HDMI cables are properly connected and not damaged.
  4. Adjust TV Volume: If your TV has a remote, try adjusting the volume using the remote instead of the ONN device’s remote.
  5. Update the ONN Device: Check for updates for your ONN device and install them if available. You can also downgrade the firmware version using a USB Flash drive.

If these solutions do not work, there is a chance that the main control board or the audio processing unit of the TV is faulty and you need to replace it.

Hope this helps!
