Hisense TV not detecting eARC devices

It’s a common issue on many Hisense TVs.

Before you jump, first check whether there is any bad CEC communication between the TV and the soundbar.

If you suspect it is, simply disable the “CEC” feature on your TV.

If disabling it doesn’t fix the issue, then try the following things one by one:

  • Make sure that both your TV and soundbar support eARC and have HDMI 2.1 ports. If your soundbar does not have an HDMI 2.1 port, you will need to use a separate audio cable, such as an optical cable, to connect it to your TV.
  • Connect the HDMI cable from the soundbar to the HDMI port on your TV labeled “HDMI 1”, which is the ARC/eARC port on all Hisense TVs.
  • From the Hisense TV’s main menu, navigate to the “Sound” settings and ensure that the audio output is set to “ARC/eARC”. From the “Sound” settings menu, navigate to the “Advanced Settings” and then select “Digital Audio Output”. Now set the TV’s digital audio output to the “Passthrough” option.

If none of the above methods work, navigate to the “System” settings and then select “HDMI & CEC Functions”.

Now switch on “CEC Control” and then select “CEC Device List”.

Click “Detect” and make sure that the soundbar is properly connected and powered on.

I hope this helps…
