TV Always Change to a Specific Input with Fire TV Remote Pro

There are two main reasons for this problem.

The first reason might be that your TV has Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) enabled.

When this feature is on, pressing any button on your Fire TV remote pro will automatically turn on your TV and switch to the correct input.

To fix this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Settings on your Fire TV device.
  2. Select Equipment Control.
  3. Choose Manage Equipment, then TV, and finally HDMI CEC Device Control.
  4. Turn off this option to stop your TV from switching inputs.

Second Reasons

The second reason could be that your Fire TV device is set to start on the Home screen instead of the Last Input.

This means your TV will always go to the Fire TV input when turned on, regardless of the previous input.

To change this setting:

  1. Go to the Settings on your Fire TV device.
  2. Select Display & Sounds.
  3. Click on Power Controls and then Power On.
  4. Now Change the option to Last Input, so your TV goes to the last input used when turned on.

I hope this helps…
