Why is my Google TV Input button not working

If your Google TV Input button is not working, the primary culprits are often the device settings or compatibility issues.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

  1. Check the TV inputs: Press the Input button on your remote, switch through all the TV inputs, and then switch back to the HDMI port where Chromecast is connected.
  2. Set up the input button on your remote: Go to “Settings” > “Remotes & Accessories” > “Remote Buttons” > “Input Button” on your Chromecast device. Under “devices,” select your TV. If the “Set up remote buttons” option is greyed out, try changing the input away from the Chromecast and then back to the Chromecast.
  3. Point your Chromecast Voice Remote at the device you want to switch inputs to and press the input button. If the input button works, make sure that you switch back to the HDMI port to which your Chromecast is connected.
Note: Make sure your Chromecast device is running the latest software updates, as this issue might have been resolved in a newer version.

If you continue to experience issues with the Input button, consider reaching out to Google Nest Support for further assistance.

Of course, try performing a hard factory reset before that!

Hope it helps…
